Ken Harbaugh, military veteran, author and podcast host, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the Huron County Democratic Party's annual Democracy Dinner.
The banquet will take place Thursday, Sept. 21 at the Milestone Event Center, 11 S. Prospect St., Norwalk, with cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7.
Harbaugh has served as a Navy pilot, president of Team Rubicon Global, and in 2018 ran for Congress in a district that covered part of Huron County. On his award-winning "Burn the Boats" podcast, Harbaugh interviews influential people about important issues, contributing to the honest, rational dialog needed to keep a functioning democracy.
The event is a fundraiser for the local party. Dinner tickets are by a donation of any amount. Attendees should make checks payable to Huron County Democratic Party, in care of Chris Raftery, Treasurer, 85 North St., Monroeville, OH 44847, or donate online at hurondems.org/donate, or pay at the door with prior reservation only.
Those who plan to attend should send an RSVP by Sept. 15 to Chris Raftery at the above address, or to Karen Prelipp via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 419-706-7242.
