The Huron County Democratic Party's traveling headquarters will begin its tour of weekly stops in Suhr Park Saturday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The traveling headquarters will go on to setup shop every Saturday through October from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at different locations across the county.

Appearing at the Sept. 10th event will be General Assembly candidates Anthony Eliopoulos, who is running for state senate in District 13; Bryan Burgess, who is running for state house in District 54; and Jim Obergefell, who is running for state house in District 89.

Following the Sept. 10th event, the traveling HQ's scheduled stops are: Sept. 17 in Willard (site to be determined); Sept. 24 in Wakeman (site TBD); Oct. 1 at Norwalk Suhr Park; Oct. 8 in Monroeville at the village admin building on Rte. 20; Oct. 15 in Bellevue (site TBD); Oct. 22 in Greenwich (site TBD); and Oct. 29 at Norwalk Suhr Park.

The traveling HQ, now in its third year, provides yard signs, election info, campaign materials and candidate visits like a traditional storefront party headquarters. Visitors can also pick up a copy of the local party's Democratic Creed, which is also posted online at hurondems.org/creed.

Earlier this year the headquarters was at the Norwalk Strawberry Festival, the Fourth of July parade in Norwalk and the Labor Day parade in New London.
